Victor Osimhen Seals Permanent Move to Galatasaray in €75 Million Deal

Victor Osimhen is officially on his way back to Istanbul — but this time, it's not a temporary stay. After a sensational loan spell with Galatasaray last season, the Nigerian striker has completed a permanent move from Napoli to the Turkish giants. The two clubs finally wrapped up the deal after weeks of intense talks, and all sides are now in agreement.

Galatasaray will pay €75 million for Osimhen, but it’s not a one-shot payment. The deal is structured with €40 million being paid upfront, while the remaining €35 million will come in two separate installments of €17.5 million each, all within the next 12 months. On top of that, Napoli will receive up to €5 million in performance-related bonuses, and they’ve also secured a 10% sell-on clause if Galatasaray sells Osimhen in the future.

One of the most interesting aspects of the agreement is the inclusion of an “anti-Serie A clause,” which prevents Osimhen from joining one of Napoli’s Italian rivals for the next two years. Clearly, Napoli wanted to protect themselves from a possible scenario where the prolific striker comes back to haunt them in domestic competition.

This transfer brings to an end a saga that had dragged on for several weeks. Galatasaray were ready to activate the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract earlier in July, but the process was slowed down by disagreements over how the payments would be made. Napoli also insisted on formal guarantees before giving the green light. Now, with the structure finalized and all documents signed, Osimhen is set to return to the Turkish capital permanently.

Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sport confirmed the deal late last night, and Osimhen is now expected to arrive in Istanbul shortly to begin pre-season with his new (and familiar) teammates.

For Galatasaray, this is a massive boost. Osimhen took Turkey by storm during his loan stint last season, racking up an incredible 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 appearances across the league, the Turkish Cup, and the Europa League. His speed, strength, and clinical finishing quickly made him a fan favorite — and now, with a long-term commitment in place, the club is hoping he can lead them to even greater heights, especially in the Champions League.

After a somewhat turbulent time in Naples, Osimhen looks rejuvenated and ready for the next chapter in his career — one that could see him become a legend in Istanbul.
