Amid all the hustle and bustle of the 2024/25 season, you could be forgiven if you don’t know that the Carabao Cup third round ties are taking place this week. With some English giants already booking their place in the next round, the anticipation for the fourth-round draw of the Carabao Cup has reached fever pitch.
For the first time, the Carabao Cup third-round draw has been split between two weeks. Last week, clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Southampton, Brentford and Brighton booked their spot in the 4th round. Last night, Chelsea, reigning champions Manchester City, Aston Villa and Leicester City joined their Premier League counterparts in the 4th round. So far, only Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City are the only non-Premier League clubs to have qualified for the next round.
Now, Arsenal and Liverpool will aim to secure their places in the 4th round as they take on Bolton and West Ham United, respectively, today (25th September). Meanwhile, Newcastle United will have to wait until next Tuesday (2nd October) to seal their spot, as their 3rd round clash with Wimbledon was postponed. With multiple games going on at the same time it’s easy to lose track. But don’t worry because we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know about Carabao Cup’s 4th round draw.
The final three spots will be claimed by either Arsenal or Bolton, Liverpool or West Ham, and Newcastle United or AFC Wimbledon. The ball numbers for the draw will be announced later tonight.
The 2024/25 Carabao Cup 4th round draw will take place right after Liverpool’s match against West Ham, which kicks off by 8:00 PM (GMT). So, the draw will likely take place around 10:00 PM GMT. For viewers in India, the match will start in the early hours of Thursday (26th September), with the fourth-round draw taking place around 3 AM IST.
In the UK, the draw will be broadcasted live on Sky Sports, including Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football, and Sky Sports Ultra. Fans can also stream it live through Sky Go and NOW. Unfortunately, in India, the draw won't be aired live, but fans can stay updated through various social media channels. However, Indian fans can catch Carabao Cup’s action live on the FanCode app and website. But fans will have to pay around 129 rupees for the subscription pass of the FanCode app and website.
The Carabao Cup fourth-round fixtures are set for the week starting Monday, October 28, with matches scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday nights. In India, these games will kick off in the early hours of Wednesday and Thursday.
