With Sanju Samson now back in the driver’s seat as full-time captain after receiving clearance from the NCA, RR will hope to carry that winning feeling into this tough fixture. 

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings have looked like a side reborn. They’ve ticked all the right boxes so far — solid team balance, strong performances, and an in-form captain leading from the front. Shreyas Iyer has been sensational with the bat, unbeaten in both matches so far — first with a classy 97* against Gujarat Titans, followed by a fluent 52* versus Lucknow Super Giants. His leadership has been just as sharp as his performances, and with PBKS playing their first game at their new home ground, the team will be eager to put on a show. With the momentum clearly in Punjab’s favor but RR itching to find consistency, this one’s shaping up to be a cracker in Mullanpur.

Match Prediction: Mullanpur is all set to host its first IPL game of the season, and if last year’s matches are anything to go by, we could be in for a spin-heavy showdown rather than a run-fest.
