Traditionally, this fixture has tilted in KKR’s favor, but 2025 has flipped the script entirely. This time, it's Punjab Kings who come into this one full of confidence, while KKR are stuck in unfamiliar territory, struggling to get out of second gear. After the mega-auction, PBKS look like a totally transformed team. Gone are the days of finishing at the bottom of the table. This season, they’ve hit the ground running and are right up there with the best in the league. On the other hand, Punjab Kings seem to be hitting all the right chords. Their bowlers are doing well, the batsmen are scoring runs, and they look like a well-tuned machine. So, it would be a mistake to ignore PBKS as favourites in this encounter. However, their record at Mullanpur hasn't been great. It has been a difficult ground for them so far.
