Corporate Premier League 2025: Season 2 - Day 1 Match Highlights & Details

After a hugely successful debut season, the Corporate Premier League is back for its second edition. The organizers have vowed to make it even bigger and more exciting than before, and if the action on day one is anything to go by, they’re certainly delivering on that promise.

Match 1 – Primus Software vs Propbucks Realty Cricket Club

Batting first, Primus Software posted an imposing total of 232/7 in 20 overs. Their batting powerhouse was Rohit Yadav, who played a sensational knock of 115 runs off just 54 balls, smashing 10 fours and 9 sixes at a blistering strike rate of 212.96. He was well supported by Nandu Tyagi, who scored a quickfire 39 off 18 balls, hitting 6 boundaries and maintaining a strike rate of 216.67. Their efforts helped Primus set a daunting target.

Despite a fighting effort from Nitesh Thakur, who scored 43 off 21 balls with 8 fours and 1 six, the team fell short. Nitesh, along with Nitish Rawat, built a 50-run 1st wicket partnership, but their efforts weren’t enough as Propbucks could only manage 138/8 in 20 overs.

Primus Software’s bowlers were disciplined, with Krishan Yadav leading the attack by taking 4 wickets for just 27 runs in 4 overs. Anuj shone with the ball as well, grabbing 2 wickets for 18 runs. Their combined effort sealed a convincing 94-run win for Primus Software.

Match 2 – MCC vs Pranam Ji XI
