Australian skipper Pat Commins won the toss and opted to bat first, a strategic decision to capitalize on favorable morning conditions. Australia is playing with new young opener Sam Konstas. The Indian bowling unit, spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, is primed to put the Australian batting order to the test with pace and precision.

Day 1: 

At the 4th test like Boxing Day Test in Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne is going on. On day one morning Australian skipper won the toss and decided to bat first. Australia plays with 2 change Sam Konstas and Scott Boland in and Josh Hazelwood and Mac Sweeney out. and Team India pay with one change Washington Sundar replace to Shubman Gill. 

The first day of play has started. Both openers, Khawaja and debutant Sam Kostan, have come to open for Australia. Making a proper and accurate start, they have added 89 runs to Australia's score before losing the wicket of Sam Konstas. Sam Konstas start internation career with an impactful Innings of 60 runs in just 65 balls and got out lbw by Ravindra Jadeja. Khawaja looking good in 1st time in BGT 2024-25 and scoring 57 runs in 121 balls and got out by Jaspreet Bumrah before tea break of 1 day, on team score 154 and Australia looking good condition and going on a big score in MCG but game was change after third session, Labuschagne, who was batting brilliantly in the third session, fell to Washington on a score of 72 and thus Australia's third wicket fell on a score of 237 and Australia was moving strongly towards a big score. In such a situation, Jaspreet Bumrah gave Team India a sigh of relief by dismissing Travis Head, who had been a headache for India throughout the series, on without any score. Meanwhile, Steve Smith also completed his half-century. But Marsh, who came to bat in place of Head, could not do anything special in this match as well and fell to Jaspreet Bumrah on a score of 4. At one point, Bumrah put a rein on the Australian team which was looking at a score of over 400. After this, Carey started scoring runs fast along with Smith, but in the middle, Akashdeep dismissed Carey and gave Australia the sixth blow on a score of 299. By the end of the day's play, Australia had made 311 runs loses of 6 wickets, Steve Smith was not out at a score of 68 and Pat Cummins came to support him at a score of 8. Note: Jasprit Bumrah was the most successful bowler from India's side, and he achieved 3 successes, Jadeja, Sundar and Akashdeep took 1 wicket each.

Day 2: 

At 4th test Boxing Day Test is going on. On day two morning 1st day not out Australian batter Steve Smith and Pat Cummins dominated in 1st day's style. Steve Smith hit the another hundred in back to back test matches and Steve Smith now create the history against India made 11th 100 like most hundred by a player against India. In the 1st session of 2nd Day Australian batter dominated to Indian bowlers and before lunch in 1st session Australia made 147 runs in just 27 overs and lose only wicket of skipper Pat Cummins who make 49 runs and got out by Ravindra Jadeja.  

Jaiswal and skipper Rohit Sharma came to open for India in this match. Rohit could not do anything special in this match and got out to Commins on a score of 4 runs. After this, Rahul handled the front along with Jaiswal but looked good. Rahul, the most successful bowler of this series, got out on an unplayable ball by Commins on a score of 24. After this, Jaiswal and Kohli handled the front and put India in a strong position. But before the day's game ended, Kohli and Jaiswal had a misunderstanding, and when Jaiswal was close to the end of the century, he got run out. After some time, Virat Kohli, too, like every time, fell prey to Boland while trying to play the going rhinoceros. After this, Akashdeep, who was sent to the pavilion on the night shift, was disappointed and was out without opening the account. After this, Rishab Pandey and Jadeja took charge of the front, and by the time the day's game was over, India was on the back foot after losing five wickets on a score of 159 runs.


Day 3: 

The third day's game was entirely in India's name, and after the first and second day's not-out bowler Pant, Jadeja made a good start. Still, Jadeja soon fell prey to the Lions with a personal score of 17. After this, Pant and Gair became victims of Boland with an individual score of 28 after playing responsible shots. After this, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar steadied the Indian team, which was looking in great difficulty, and brought India to a strong position. Both Reddy and Sundar scored a brilliant half-century. However, just after scoring 50 runs, Sundar fell prey to the Lions, and after this, Bumrah could not even open his account. After this, Siraj, who came to bat, gave Reddy good support and scored the first century of his career; before the game ended on the third day, he lost nine wickets for 353 runs.

Day 4: 

The fourth day's game started with centurian Reddy and Siraj, but they could not take India too far, and the only wicket fell in the form of Reddy at a score of 369, which Lyon dismissed. Khwaja came to open for Australia with young batsman Sam Konstas, who had left his good batting in the first innings. He could not do anything special in this inning and became the victim of Bumrah at a score of 8. After Sira,j dismissed this Khwaja at a personal score of 21. After this, Siraj gave Australia the 3rd blow by dismissing Smith, who was looking dangerous, on an individual score of 13. After this, Bumrah showed the way to the pavilion to Travis Head and March in one over without opening their account and put Australia on the back foot. A little after this, Bumrah again gave another blow by dismissing Carey. However, after this, Cummins and Labuschagne took charge of the front and started taking Australia towards a big score. Siraj gave a big blow to Australia by dismissing Labuschagne, and Australia's score became 148 for seven wickets. After this, Starc came to bat but could not do anything special and got run out. Isake baad Commins ne morcha sambhale rakha aur 41 ke niji score pe Jadeja ka shikar bane aur Australi ne 178 ke score pe apna 9th wicket gawa diya.
