Jadon Sancho's future is once again up in the air, and this time, Juventus are pushing hard to land the Manchester United winger. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing, and Sancho is reportedly open to a switch to Turin—especially after his underwhelming stint at Old Trafford and a mixed loan spell with Chelsea.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United are hoping to cash in with a fee of around £25 million for the 25-year-old, and Juventus have shown strong interest. What’s helping move things along is Sancho’s willingness to reduce his wage demands to make the move happen. That’s been a stumbling block for several clubs so far, but not a deal-breaker anymore as far as Juve are concerned.
Negotiations are still active, and reports say conversations between Sancho and Juventus have been “positive.” United are eager to find a solution for a player they’ve long deemed surplus to requirements. Chelsea had the chance to sign him permanently after a short loan but opted out, paying a penalty fee of £5 million to escape the buy obligation, citing issues over personal terms.
Now, with Chelsea out of the picture, Juventus have moved to the front of the queue. Sancho’s representatives have been in direct contact with the Serie A giants as both sides try to work out a contract. Juve, meanwhile, are in need of a winger after missing out on Francisco Conceição from Porto, making Sancho an ideal fit if the finances fall into place. But they’ll need to act fast. There are whispers that at least two more clubs are eyeing Sancho, including one from the Saudi Pro League, which could pose a significant financial challenge for Juventus if they delay.
Sancho isn’t the only one United are trying to move on. Marcus Rashford, fresh off a loan spell at Aston Villa, is reportedly available too. Bayern Munich and Barcelona are both monitoring the England international. Meanwhile, Real Betis are said to be in talks to bring Antony back to La Liga, potentially on loan.
These potential outgoings are more than just squad clean-up—they’re part of a broader plan. The funds and wage space freed up from these departures are expected to go toward a move for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins. United are said to be serious about the England forward, especially as Rasmus Højlund’s future could lie back in Italy. In short, it’s going to be a busy summer at Old Trafford—and Sancho’s move to Juventus could be one of the first major dominos to fall.
