Juventus have officially sealed the permanent signing of Francisco Conceicao from FC Porto, finalising a deal worth over €30 million after the Portuguese winger made quite an impression during his loan spell in Turin.
The Bianconeri were convinced by the 22-year-old’s performances last season and acted quickly to tie him down with a long-term contract. The transfer fee will be paid in four instalments, with Juve managing to structure the deal in a way that benefits both clubs — and the player played his part too. Conceicao gave up a notable chunk of his entitled bonus — around €3 million — to help smooth over the negotiations. Reports from Italy suggest that he was due 20% of any future permanent transfer fee from Porto, but he agreed to waive it so the move could go ahead. Gazzetta dello Sport claims Juventus will now spread that €3 million across his new contract instead.
Having joined on loan last summer, Conceicao quickly carved out a place for himself in the squad, even if he wasn’t always a guaranteed starter. He still managed to contribute seven goals and six assists across all competitions — vital numbers in Juventus’ push to finish in the Champions League spots.
The winger’s impact was particularly felt in key moments, including his brace in the Club World Cup against Al Ain. His pace, technical flair and relentless energy down the right wing added a new dimension to Juve’s attack. According to Opta stats, he averaged 6.71 progressive carries and 2.68 dribbles per match — numbers that reflect just how much of a menace he was for defenders. But it’s not just his work with the ball that stood out. Off the ball, Conceicao’s pressing and defensive work ethic made him a perfect piece in Igor Tudor’s tactical setup. The Juventus boss has been vocal about needing industrious wide players, and the Portuguese international ticks every box.
Financially, Juve will reportedly pay around €21m-€22m upfront, with additional bonuses potentially taking the total to between €25m and €27m. Once Conceicao’s deal is wrapped up, the club’s attention will shift to the future of Randal Kolo Muani.
The French striker has returned to PSG following the end of his loan spell, but Juventus are working to bring him back — ideally on another loan with an option to buy. With Dusan Vlahovic expected to move on this summer, Tudor wants to ensure he has another proven option up front. In addition to pursuing Kolo Muani, Juventus have already made a move in the market by securing Canadian forward Jonathan David on a free transfer.
