Full Schedule For The 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup

The countdown to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is on, and the action begins with a bang as host nation India takes on Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on September 30.

Meanwhile, defending champions Australia begin their title defense against New Zealand on October 1 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. On October 2, Bangladesh go up against Pakistan in Colombo. The action returns to Bengaluru on October 3, where England — runners-up in 2022 — square off with South Africa in what’s expected to be a cracking contest.

The round-robin stage will continue until October 26, ending with a double-header as England take on New Zealand in Guwahati, while India wrap up their group stage campaign against Bangladesh in Bengaluru. From there, the top four teams will move on to the knockout rounds, with the semi-finals set for October 29 and 30. The grand finale will take place on November 2, where the two best sides will battle it out for the biggest prize in women’s ODI cricket.

Pakistan to play their games at a neutral venue

While most of the matches will be staged across various venues in India, all of Pakistan’s games will be held in Colombo due to ongoing political tensions between the two nations.

The hybrid model is a continuation of the compromise that emerged during the standoff over the 2025 Champions Trophy. At that time, India played its matches in Dubai while the rest of the competition unfolded in Pakistan. The ICC clarified during that saga: “India and Pakistan matches hosted by either country at ICC Events during the 2024-2027 rights cycle will be played at a neutral venue.”

India and Pakistan haven’t played a bilateral series since 2008, and relations off the field have ensured that meetings between the two are now limited to multi-nation tournaments. While India last toured Pakistan 16 years ago, Pakistan did travel to India for the 2023 Men’s World Cup.
