Stephen Curry reminded the basketball world once again why he’s one of the greatest to ever do it, delivering a sensational performance in the Golden State Warriors’ 134-125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The two-time MVP put on a shooting clinic, dropping 52 points, including a blistering 12-of-20 from three-point range.
Curry’s stat line was nothing short of extraordinary – 52 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals. That kind of all-around dominance put him in elite company, as he etched his name into the NBA history books yet again. His 12 made threes matched his season high, and he became the only player in league history to record eight games of 50+ points while shooting at least 50% from the field and 60% from beyond the arc, surpassing the legendary Michael Jordan. On top of that, Curry joined an exclusive club, becoming just the third player ever – alongside Rick Barry and Anthony Davis – to register at least 50 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals in a single game.

The milestone moments didn’t stop there. This was Curry’s 15th career 50-point game, tying him with Damian Lillard for the sixth-most in NBA history and pushing him past LeBron James, who has 14 such performances to his name. While Curry stole the show, he had some strong support from his teammates. Jimmy Butler contributed 27 points, while Draymond Green recorded a triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists, doing all the little things that helped Golden State close out the win.
Memphis had its own bright spots, with Ja Morant leading the charge with 36 points and 6 assists. Jaren Jackson Jr. chipped in with 22 points, while rookie big man Zach Edey made his presence felt with 10 points and 16 rebounds. But despite their efforts, the Grizzlies couldn’t slow down Curry, dropping their third straight game.
Next up, Golden State wraps up its six-game road trip with a showdown against the Lakers in Los Angeles on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies head out for a three-game road swing against Eastern Conference teams, starting with a trip to Miami.
