NBA Confirms 2025 Draft Dates for 25-26 June

The NBA has confirmed the dates for the 2025 Draft. And for the second straight year, the draft will be held on two separate days. Earlier today, the league announced that the NBA Draft will be held on 25th and 26th June at the Barclays Center (home of the Brooklyn Nets).

The NBA announced the dates for the 2025 NBA Draft via an official statement which read, “The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced today that the NBA Draft 2025 presented by State Farm will take place on Wednesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 26 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., home of the Brooklyn Nets. Coverage on both nights will begin at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN platforms. The first round will be held on June 25 and air on ABC, ESPN and the ESPN App, and the second round is set for June 26 on ESPN and the ESPN App. ESPN Radio will also provide national coverage of the NBA Draft 2025 presented by State Farm.”

For the second year in a row, the NBA Draft will span two nights. Just like in 2024, teams will have five minutes to make their selections in the first round, while the clock ticks even faster in the second round with a four-minute limit per pick. Following the 2024-25 Regular Season, the draft lottery will decide the teams selecting from first through fourteenth. The remaining order is determined by the final standings of the Regular Season.

The 2025 NBA Draft is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling in recent memory, and fans are eagerly waiting to see which young stars will shape the future of their franchises. This year’s class is packed with talent, and the decisions teams make on draft night could shape the league for years to come. Leading the way is Cooper Flagg, the projected No. 1 pick. The Duke standout has been on everyone’s radar for a while, and for good reason. At just 17, he was invited to train with the U.S. Men’s National Team before the 2024 Paris Olympics. According to reports, he held his own against some of the biggest names in the game, including LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum. That kind of experience at such a young age has only strengthened his case as the top prospect.

But Flagg isn’t the only name generating buzz. Rutgers’ Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey, Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe, and Illinois’ Kasparas Jakucionis are all projected to be high picks, with teams eyeing them as potential franchise cornerstones. Beyond the college ranks, the international talent pool is also strong. European prospects like Egor Demin, Nolan Traore, Noa Essengue, Ben Saraf, and Hugo Gonzalez are all expected to hear their names called. With so much potential on the board, this draft has the makings of one that could reshape the NBA landscape. Now, it’s just a matter of which teams make the right moves.
